DCC 6.3
New Features
IG-2008 New Configuration Schema Menu for IoT Status
Release notes
The previous Show/Edit and Add options for handling Data Refinement Groups and Alert Groups have been replaced by a new Configuration Schema menu. This unified view provides a clear overview of all groups linked to a device and allows you to add, configure, or edit them directly in one place. The page also includes improved navigation to the underlying group definitions and shows related alerts within the same view.
IG-2035 New Activity page in the Company view
Release notes
A new Activity tab has been added to the Company menu, showing a dashboard with the following information:
- Number of devices with different license status
- Devices with licenses about to expire
- Devices that have exceeded their licensed data limit
- Most Active devices shown in a bar chart
You can click a listed device, for deeper analysis, and you can change the time period to narrow down when devices have exceeded data limit, and the amount of data sent.
This feature is extremely valuable for administrators to keep an overview of their license status, in addition to the monthly reports and the data limit notification emails.
IG-2036 Improved Fleet Handling of Reports
Release notes
Reporting has been enhanced to better support OEM fleet scenarios and align with how Alert Groups are managed. Reports can now use recipient groups and be applied to machines through new Report Groups. Combined report files now align data by all unique timestamps, and configuration has been simplified with clearer options and support for custom CSV delimiters.
IG-2064 View Devices Using a Data Refinement Group
Release notes
You can now see which devices are linked to a specific Data Refinement Group. Selecting a group displays all associated devices, or “none” if there are no matches, with direct links to each device. The interface has been updated with clearer guidance when no group is selected and improved navigation that takes you directly to the DRG on the device.
IG-2160 Beta version of IXON Remote Access Using the IXON API
Release notes
In this release the Remote Access widget has been extended with support for the IXON API. If you choose an IXON device you will be prompted to login to your IXON account where you have your IXON device connected. The Widget will then present list the agents representing you VNC or Web access Service. Note that every time you click the Remote Access button in the dashboard, you will be requested to login to your IXON account, although it will then automatically connect to the Agent configured. Also note that this Beta implementation does not support fleet management, so the widget will be locked the specific IXON device and agent chosen at setup. In the next version the widget will be able to support multiple devices, provided the Agent name is the same.
IG-2200 Notification When a Dashboard User Has No Assigned Dashboard
Release notes
Administrators are now warned when saving a dashboard user without assigning any dashboards, helping prevent situations where users log in and see nothing. A confirmation prompt and clearer UI emphasis highlight missing dashboard assignments, and users without access will now see a “no dashboards available” message.
IG-2203 More Accurate Averages in Consumption Reports
Release notes
Consumption reports now provide a more realistic view of device usage by showing a new column indicating the number of days each device actually sent data. The average calculation has been updated accordingly: Average Hourly Device Data is now based on total monthly data divided by active reporting days.
IG-2230 Visualize if device is up-to-date with DRG or not
Release notes
Users working with Data Refinement Groups can now clearly distinguish between saved values and prefilled values on devices. This improvement makes it easier to troubleshoot issues when dashboards or data outputs do not behave as expected, even if the DRG appears correct on the device.
IG-2235 Clearer Alert Naming: “Simple Alerts” Renamed to “Quick Alerts”
Release notes
Alerts that can be applied directly to a single sample point have been renamed to Quick Alerts to clearly distinguish them from alerts used within Alert Groups.
Quick Alerts are always associated with a specific device and sample point. They cannot be duplicated or reassigned to other devices. However, Quick Alerts can be used as templates for Alert Groups by importing them and can thereby be reused across multiple devices.
This change improves clarity and helps users better understand when to use Quick Alerts versus Alert Groups.
IG-2243 Apply button for filter, now closes the filter dialogue
Release notes
Before when applying filter settings, you needed to click outside the filter selection modal. Now the filter automatically closes, when selecting Apply. Note that the Filter icon will show a number indicating that a filter is applied.
Bug Fixes
IG-2220 Fixed: “Unsaved Changes” Warning in New Next-Gen Dashboards
Release notes
New dashboards incorrectly appeared as having unsaved changes due to an empty theme value. Dashboards now default to light theme, and the frontend correctly treats missing theme data as light mode, preventing false unsaved-changes warnings.
IG-2224 Fixed: Notifications for Devices Exceeding License Limits
Release notes
The reminder system for devices exceeding their monthly license limits (introduced in DCC 6.0) has been restored and improved. Notifications are now sent to both the Distributor and the Company, include devices in sub-companies and folders, and are triggered each time a device reaches the 5-day exceedance threshold. Emails also list any devices that previously exceeded their limit within the same month, unless they have since been upgraded.
Note that the notification is sent to the first Company under the Distributor, also for devices located in Sub-companies under the Company. The report will still list the Sub-company where the device is located. Devices in folders will still be listed by the Company or Sub-company where the folder is located.
IG-2242 Switching from an online device to an offline device retains the real-time data viewer for the original device.
Release notes
When placed on IoT Configuration in the IoT Administration menu, switching from an online device to an offline device, would still show the lower realtime data section from the online device. This has been fixed
