New Features
IG-1176 Introduction of a new topology tree for IoT management
Release notes
A new topology tree has been introduced for device management, replacing the previous tree structure that relied on LMM account synchronization with GateManagers. This change brings several advantages:
- Improved user experience with a cleaner, faster, and more responsive interface.
- Eliminates the need for synchronization with GateManager domains to update status.
- Supports both MQTT and SiteManager devices in a unified structure.
- Enables folder creation and logical organization of devices via drag-and-drop.
- Integrates user management, allowing explicit access control to folders and companies.
- Ensures each SiteManager has a single, consistent representation instead of appearing multiple times in different locations.
IG-1282 Allow dashboard users to create new users
Release notes
Dashboard users can now be assigned permissions to create, edit, and delete other dashboard users at the same access level. Previously, only Administrators had this capability, which sometimes caused operational inefficiencies. This update provides more flexibility while maintaining security boundaries.
IG-1388 Automatic detection of agents in Remote Access widgets
Release notes
Following the introduction of the new topology tree, LMM accounts are now used exclusively for Remote Access widgets. The system will now automatically detect and retrieve valid SiteManager Agent IDs, allowing users to select the appropriate agent for remote sessions.
IG-1398 Fast-track setup with simulated devices and a demo dashboard
Release notes
Users can now create simulated SiteManager devices that display typical automation data. A corresponding demo dashboard template is also available, making it easier to get started with Next-gen dashboards. Watch this video for details: https://youtu.be/GjuDLf_z87M
IG-1401 Expanded OPC UA NodeIdString field
Release notes
The OPC UA NodeIdString field in SiteManager configuration has been expanded to allow more flexibility in defining OPC UA nodes.
IG-1539 Integration of new topology tree into the Data Viewer
Release notes
Following the introduction of the new topology tree, the Data Viewer now aligns with the same structure, improving consistency across the platform.
IG-1570 Allow renaming of SiteManager devices
Release notes
Users can now rename SiteManager devices, similar to MQTT devices. Previously, SiteManager devices were bound to GateManager and automatically named based on LMM accounts. With this update, new SiteManagers will be listed by MAC address but can now be manually renamed for easier identification.
IG-1571 Granular user access control for devices in folders and sub-companies
Release notes
With the introduction of the new topology tree, it is now possible to define which folders and companies a user can access. Important constraints:
- Admins can still view, edit, and delete event triggers, reports, data refinements, and alert groups within their assigned company, even if they do not have access to specific devices.
- Next-gen dashboards do not inherit permissions from Classic dashboards. Dashboards are created at the user’s company level and cannot be moved or copied across companies. If necessary, the user should be assigned to the correct company before creating a dashboard.
IG-1573 Improved report email notifications
Release notes
Report email notifications now include details about the DCC instance the report was sent from, along with additional context about the report.
IG-1581 Reorganized main menu structure
Release notes
The main menu structure has been updated to prioritize the most frequently used menus for better usability.
IG-1582 Improved naming conventions for events and groups
Release notes
Naming conventions for key system elements have been updated for clarity:
Event Triggers → Alerts
Event Trigger Groups → Alert Groups
Collections → Group Bundles
IG-1603 Undo zoom and time interval changes in Next-gen dashboards
Release notes
Users can now step back to the previous zoom level or time interval adjustment in Next-gen dashboards. In the event viewer, selecting a batch no longer requires a page refresh to return to the event list. An undo icon or back arrow allows easy reversion, and the feature is also available in mobile view. Redo is not supported.
IG-1616 Show device name on the report page
Release notes
The report page now displays the device name instead of the DCMID, making it easier to identify devices in reports.
IG-1629 Updated Terms of Use
Release notes
The DCC Terms of Use have been revised to focus exclusively on DCC-related aspects, while all commercial terms have been separated into General Terms. Both documents can be accessed here: https://www.inuatek.com/terms.
Bug Fixes
IG-1579 Background images missing in snapshop reports
Release notes
Background images were missing from reports generated as JPG Dashboard Snapshots from a Next-gen dashboard. The issue was caused by incorrect Azure Blob access rights and has now been resolved.
IG-1608 Error when saving multiple event group edits
Release notes
When editing an event group, changes made in the same session were not always included when saving. This issue has been fixed, ensuring all edits within a session are correctly saved.
IG-1617 Unable to save theme changes in Next-gen dashboard
Release notes
Previously, changing a dashboard theme without modifying widgets did not register as a change. This has now been fixed—theme changes will trigger the save indicator and be correctly stored.
IG-1619 Consumption graph in Usage menu not displaying
Release notes
An issue caused graphs in the Usage menu to fail to display. The error has been identified and resolved, ensuring proper visualization of usage data.
